Niall Munro is a Senior Lecturer in American Literature at Oxford Brookes University, where he is also Director of Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre and the Centre’s poetry pamphlet press, ignitionpress. He is the author of Hart Crane’s Queer Modernist Aesthetic (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015) and co-editor (with Catherine Gilbert and Kate McLoughlin) of On Commemoration (Peter Lang, 2020). He is currently working on a monograph, entitled ‘Our only “felt” history’: American Modernism and the Civil War, which examines the ways in which modernist writers ‘remembered’ the Civil War through poetry, fiction, non-fiction and drama published between 1892 and 1948.
