Nicholas Ray
Nicholas Ray is lecturer in critical and cultural theory in the School of English at the University of Leeds. His research focuses on psychoanalysis and its intersections with the cultural field. He is the author of Tragedy and Otherness: Sophocles, Shakespeare, Psychoanalysis (Peter Lang, 2009), editor of Interrogating the Shield (Syracuse University Press, 2012) and co-editor, with John Fletcher, of Seductions and Enigmas: Laplanche, Theory, Culture (Lawrence and Wishart, 2014). He is currently working on a book on Freud and the limits of the human.
