Nicholas Royle
Nicholas Royle is the author of First Novel (London: Vintage, 2013), as well as six earlier novels, and three volumes of short fiction, Mortality (London: Serpent’s Tail, 2006), In Camera (London: Negative Press, 2016) and Ornithology (Manchester: Confingo Publishing, 2017). He has edited twenty anthologies and is series editor of Best British Short Stories (Cromer: Salt). A Reader in Creative Writing at the Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University, he also runs Nightjar Press, publishing individual short stories in signed and limited editions, in chapbook format.
