Nicole Tabor

Dr Nicole Tabor, after graduating from Smith College, served as a member and Development Director for Unconditional Theatre Company and has directed plays by Beckett, Brecht and others. She also worked in television in New York City, serving as a production manager. Dr Tabor received her MA (2005) and Ph.D. (2009) in English from the University of Oregon. Her 2013 book is entitled: Gender, Genre, and the Myth of Human Singularity. Dr Tabor’s articles include: ‘Outlaw others: Jacques Derrida, James Joyce, and Leopold Bloom’ in Bijdragen: International Journal in Philosophy and Theology. Her current manuscript is entitled: ‘Subject lines: The monologic single subject in multicultural American drama by women’. She is a member of Association for Theatre in higher Education’s (ATHE) Theory and Criticism Focus Group and was the 2012–14 Drama Division’s representative to the Modern Language Association’s Delegate Assembly (MLA). She is also the current liaison between the MLA and American Theatre and Drama Society (ATDS).
