Nisha Shah
Nisha Shah holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Toronto and is an SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in International Studies at the Watson Institute at Brown University. Her research explores how globalization is deployed as a set of discourses that reconstitute political legitimacy beyond principles of sovereignty. She also researches critical and normative theories of globalization, global governance, security studies, surveillance technologies and terrorism/counterterrorism. She has published in the journal Globalizations and is co-editor of Metaphors of Globalization: Mirrors, Magicians and Mutinies (Palgrave, 2007).
