Nuno Canas Mendes
Nuno Canas Mendes is an associate professor at the School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon, and vice-president of the Orient Institute. His main research interests are Asian studies, the history of international relations and diplomacy. He is the author of several articles and books, including História e Conjuntura nas Relações Internacionais (History and Conjuncture in International Relations) (Lisbon: ISCSP, 2017), ‘Nacionalismos e separatismos no sudeste Asiático’ (‘Nationalism and separatisms in southeast Asia’) (Janus, 2.20, 2015, pp. 94–95) and ‘ASEAN: Que Comunidade?’ (‘ASEAN: What Community?’) (Janus, 17, 2015) and Enciclopédia das Relações Internacionais (Encyclopaedia of International Relations) (Lisbon: Dom Quixote, 2014).
