Oriol Barranco

Oriol Barranco is completed his Ph.D. in sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales, Paris. He is currently an associate professor appointed to the Department of Sociology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a researcher at Centre d’Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidina i el Treball (QUIT) – Institut d’Estudis del Treball (IET), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His research focuses on the field of Sociology of Labour (labour domination and resistance at workplace, labour process, labour trajectories and social capital), Research Methods (ethnographic approaches, mixed methods and social network analysis) and Social Movements (trade unionism and housing movements).
