Paola Ardizzola
Paola Ardizzola earned a Ph.D. in the history of architecture and urbanism. She is the founder of the Architecture Department at Antalya International University in Turkey, where she served as Executive Dean and Department Chairperson until 2017. After moving for a time to the Lebanese American University in Beirut, she became an associate professor at the German University in Cairo. Her research is oriented toward the history and theory of twentieth-century architecture, architectural representation, and urban sociology. In 2010, she was awarded the Bruno Zevi International Prize and is the recipient of the 2020 DAAD fellowship for her research project ‘Built and unbuilt: the impact of architecture on paper on the design process’.
