Paolo Noto
Paolo Noto is an associate professor of film studies at the Università di Bologna. His work is mainly focused on post-war Italian cinema, genre theory and film criticism. His research has been largely devoted to modern and contemporary Italian cinema in its industrial, organizational and economic aspects. He is on the editorial board of the journal L’avventura: International Journal of Italian Film and Media Landscapes, and member of the scientific committee of Immagine: Note di storia del cinema, SERIES: International Journal of TV Serial Narratives. Among his publications are Il cinema neorealista with Francesco Pitassio (Archetipolibri, 2010), Dal bozzetto ai generi (Lindau, 2011) and The Politics of Ephemeral Digital Media with Sara Pesce (Routledge, 2015).
