Pasang Yangjee Sherpa

Pasang Yangjee Sherpa, Ph.D. is an anthropologist from Nepal. She is a visiting assistant professor at Pacific Lutheran University, Washington, and is affiliated with the South Asia Centre at the University of Washington. Her research interests include human dimensions of climate change, Indigeneity and development in the Himalayas. She is completing her study of the Sherpa diaspora in Nepal, India and the United States. Previously, she was a postdoc at the New School University in New York and a lecturer at the Penn State University. She is the recipient of the 2014 Senior Fellowship award from the Association of Nepal and Himalayan Studies.
