Paulina Bronfman
Dr Paulina Bronfman is a postdoctoral researcher of the ANILLO ANID project ‘Gender, biopolitics and creation: Cultural and political productions of women for new forms in gender relations’ at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. Her postdoctoral research is centred on ‘Biopolitical readings of motherhood: An exploration of the cultural productions of women artists in Chile’. She holds a master’s and a Ph.D. in education studies at the University of York, United Kingdom. Her work explores the intersections between performance and cultural studies. Dr Bronfman is co-author of the book Performance, Citizenship and Activism in Chile 2010–2020 (Editorial Oso Liebre, 2022). Currently, she is working on her second book, Scenic and Performative Practices as an Ecological Strategy in Chile (2010–2020) (OXIMORON Editorial, 2025), which is focused on environmental artistic activism, and funded by the Chilean Ministry of Culture and Arts.
