Paulo Feytor Pinto
Paulo Feytor Pinto, master’s in intercultural studies (1999) and Ph.D. in Portuguese studies, majoring in language policy (2008), is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Studies in General and Applied Linguistics (CELGA-ILTEC) at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, a collaborator with CEMRI Open University, and a Portuguese-language professor. He was president of the Teachers of Portuguese Language Association (1997–2011), collaborated in the making of the Dictionary of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon (1992–95), and is the author of the books Training for Linguistic Diversity in the Portuguese-Language Classes (Instituto de Inovação Educacional, 1998), How We Think Our Language and the Languages of Others (Editorial Estampa, 2001), New Orthographic Agreement for the Portuguese Language (Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda, 2009) and The Essential on Language Policy (Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda, 2010). He is currently president of the Teachers for Intercultural Education Association (APEDI), co-coordinating entity of the project ‘Trovoada de Ideias’.
