Penelope Glass

Penelope Glass has been a community theatre worker in Australia and Chile since the 1970s. She is the co-founder of Colectivo Sustento (http://www.colectivosustento.org). Since 2002, she has co-directed Fénix e Ilusiones in the Colina 1 prison, Santiago. Research and international conference papers have focused on social activism through theatre. Publications include ‘Heart and heartbeat: Working beyond prison theatre, performing protagonismo social in the real world’ (in Michael Balfour (ed.), Performing Arts in Prisons, Intellect, 2018).
