Per Ekedahl
Per Ekedahl has a background as music teacher, professional choir singer and choir conductor. He studied Musicology at Uppsala University and has a Master of Fine Arts in music education from Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. He has worked with different musical and cultural projects for young people adding up to more than 30 years of experience managing and programming concerts, various cultural projects and music competitions. He is frequently engaged as a lecturer on music and young people, particularly about concerts for young audiences. Per Ekedahl has for many years been active in the worldwide network of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI). He is a member of its board since 2002 and was elected president in 2008. In 2014 he became Honorary President of JMI.
