Petra Dotlačilová

Petra Dotlačilová holds a Ph.D. in dance studies (Academy of Performing Arts Prague) and in theatre studies (Stockholm University [SU]). She investigates history of theatre costumes and participated in the research projects ‘Performing premodernity’ (SU) and ‘Ritual design on the ballet stage’ (University of Leipzig). Together with Hanna Walsdorf she edited the volume Dance Body Costume (Leipziger Universitätsverlag, 2019). Currently, she is conducting the research project ‘The fabrication of performance: Processes and politics of costume-making in the 18th century’, funded by the Swedish Research Council (2021–24) and in collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles.
