Prarthana Purkayastha

Prarthana Purkayastha is Senior Lecturer in Dance at Royal Holloway University of London, and author of Indian Modern Dance, Feminism and Transnationalism (2014). Her dance research examines the politics of race, gender, sexuality and nationhood, with a particular focus on South Asian and British Asian performance. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Dance Studies Association and is Co-Convenor of the Choreography and Corporeality working group at the International Federation for Theatre Research.
