Pritha Chakrabarti
Pritha Chakrabarti is an assistant professor at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film School, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. She received her doctoral degree from the department of cultural studies at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad where she worked on the politics of screendance in Indian cinema. Her more recent articles on Indian cinema have been published in South Asian History and Culture and Studies in South Asian Film and Media. Her current research interest is in the study of fear and desire in horror films as an allegory of India’s sociopolitical present.
