Rachael Ironside

Rachael Ironside is a senior lecturer at Robert Gordon University. Her research interests focus on the role of supernatural folklore, and how it impacts our experience and understanding of place and cultural heritage. Rachael has contributed chapters and articles to a range of journals and edited collections including The Supernatural in Society, Culture and History (Temple University Press, 2018), The Routledge International Handbook of Interactionism (Routledge, 2021) and Time and Mind, Journal of Pragmatics, Text&Talk and Discourse Studies. She is also currently co-authoring a book as part of the Palgrave Pivot series titled Making Sense of the Paranormal: The Interactional Construction of Unexplained Experiences (Palgrave, 2021).
