Rachel Daichendt

Rachel Daichendt is a professor of art history and theory at Point Loma Nazarene University. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in philosophy, aesthetics and theory at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. She has an upcoming contribution to the book, Tribal and the Cultural Legacy of Street Wear (Intellect, 2023), where she explores philosopher Martin Heidegger’s Dasein through the lens of the tattoos/body art. As a scholar, she hopes to explore ontological relationships within the aesthetic experience.
