Rachel Epp Buller

Rachel Epp Buller is a feminist art historian, visual artist, professor and mother of three. Her artistic, written and curatorial work addresses these intersections, focusing on the maternal body, care and listening in contemporary art contexts. She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions across the United States as well as in Berlin, London, Rotterdam and Venice. Her books include Reconciling Art and Mothering (Ashgate, 2012) and Inappropriate Bodies: Art, Design, and Maternity (Demeter Press, 2019). She is a two-time Fulbright Scholar, a board member of the National Women’s Caucus for Art (United States), a regional coordinator of the international Feminist Art Project, and professor of visual arts and design at Bethel College (United States).
