Rachel Moore
Rachel Moore teaches film and photography theory in Goldsmiths’ Department of Media, Communications, and Cultural Studies. She is the author of Savage Theory: Cinema as Modern Magic (Duke University Press, 2000), co-edited the volume Public Space, Media Space (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013) and received a Guggenheim Fellowship for her project ‘In the Film Archive of Natural History’. She has published articles on Jean Epstein, James Benning, Kenneth Anger and Patrick Keiller, as well as a monograph on Hollis Frampton’s (nostalgia) (MIT Press and Afterall Books, One Works Series, 2006). With Anke Hennig, she has just completed Salt and Sugar: Mikhail Kalatozov’s Cinema of Excess (forthcoming).
