Ramsey McGlazer

Ramsey McGlazer completed a Ph.D. in comparative literature and critical theory at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2015–16, he was the Artemis A. W. and Martha Joukowsky Postdoctoral Fellow at the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women at Brown University. He is currently a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley, where he works both in the Department of Comparative Literature and the International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs. His recent essays have appeared in A Contracorriente, differences, The Italianist and Postmodern Culture. He is working on a book based on his dissertation, ‘Old Schools: Modernism, pedagogy, and the critique of progress’, which was co-winner in 2016 of the Charles Bernheimer Prize, awarded by the American Comparative Literature Association for best dissertation in the discipline.
