Rana Khaled Arafat is a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Media and Journalism, University of Lugano, Switzerland. She is currently a visiting student at the Department of Journalism in City University of London. Her research interests include online political participation, digital activism, diaspora journalism advocacy and journalism innovations.
