Randall Fowler

Randall Fowler is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research examines US foreign policy rhetoric from a critical-historical perspective, focusing on the Cold War, American Middle East policy and discourses surrounding Islam. A 2013-14 Fulbright Award grantee to Jordan, he is the author of More Than a Doctrine: The Eisenhower Era in the Middle East. His work has also appeared in Rhetoric & Public Affairs, Quarterly Journal of Speech, Journal of Communication & Religion and other academic outlets. A native of Abilene, Texas, he now resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
