Razvan Nicolescu

Razvan Nicolescu is a digital anthropologist with research interest in the social impact of new digital technologies on political economy, governance, social relations and social and economic inequalities. Between 2016 and 2019, Razvan was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Computing, Imperial College London and the Co-I of the project ‘Designing Dynamic Insurance Policies using IoT’, as part of the PETRAS Research Hub – Cyber Security of the IoT, funded by the EPSRC. Prior to this, Razvan was Research Associate at the Department of Anthropology at University College London as part of the Why We Post research project funded by the ERC. Razvan is the author of Social Media in Southeast Italy: Crafting Ideals (2016) and co-author of How the World Changed Social Media (2016).
