Reda Fhelboom

Reda Fhelboom is a Libyan journalist and human rights activist who started his career in media in 2011 as a radio and TV presenter. He is heading the Libyan Organization for Independent Media in Tripoli since 2018, where he has designed and implemented training workshops on basics of professional journalism; the role of media in supporting peace, democracy and human rights; and combating disinformation and hate speech in Libyan media. Reda has written the first ‘professional media code of conduct’ for Libyan journalists in September 2019. He also contributed to a book chapter in February 2020 analysing the necessary reforms in the Libyan media sector.
