Renee Middlemost
Renee Middlemost is an early career researcher and lecturer in communication and media at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Her research focuses on fan/audience participatory practices and how these intersect with celebrity and popular culture. Her recent publications include an article on the cultification of Tommy Wiseau and The Room for Celebrity Studies; an article on fans, ret-con and The Simpsons in M/C Journal, and a co-authored chapter (with Sue Turnbull) on the finale of Dexter. She is the co-founder of FSN Australasia and a co-editor of Participations.
