Richard Alan Nelson

Richard Alan Nelson (Ph.D., Florida State University) is Professor of Mass Communication and Public Affairs at Louisiana State University, where he teaches courses in ethics, public relations, advertising and propaganda. He is editor of the Journal of Promotion Management, and past president of the International Management Development Association (www.imda.cc) and the International Academy of Business Disciplines (www.iabd.org). His research involving strategic integrated marketing communications, public relations, public affairs and global ethics issues has resulted in numerous articles in leading communication and business journals. Nelson is also author of A Chronology and Glossary of Propaganda in the United States and co-author of Issues Management: Corporate Public Policymaking in an Information Society (with Robert L. Heath).
