Rita Liberti

Rita Liberti is a sport historian and professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Cal State East Bay, where she founded the Center for Sport & Social Justice and acted as its director from 2011 to 2017. Her research is focused primarily on twentieth-century women’s sport history, including (Re)Presenting Wilma Rudolph (Syracuse University Press, 2015) which won the North American Society for Sport History best monograph prize in 2016.
