Rita Luís
Rita Luís, Ph.D. at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in 2015, specializes in the history of mass media in the context of the Iberian dictatorships of the twentieth century. Her dissertation, concerning the reception of the Portuguese revolutionary process of 1974–75 in the late Francoist press, was awarded the 2017 International Prize for Doctoral Research of the History of Communication Association (ASHISCOM). She currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA-FCSH), in the Instituto de História Contemporânea (IHC), where she coordinates the research group Culture, Identities and Power and is developing a project funded by national funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., under project CEECIND/02813/2017, on the practice and everyday life of entangled Iberian censorship.
