Rita Maldonado Branco
Rita Maldonado Branco, communication designer and Ph.D. in design, is a researcher at the Research Institute for Design Media and Culture (ID+) at the University of Aveiro (UA), within the research group Health+Design Lab (HEAD), Portugal. Since her MA in communication design (2012), she has been researching on designing for and together with people with dementia and recently was awarded funding under the 2020 FCT’s Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus (2020.04083.CEECIND). Rita is also an external volunteer collaborator of Dementia Lab/Inter-Actions Research Unit, at LUCA School of Arts, Belgium, where she worked previously as a researcher in 2020–21. In recent years, Rita was also a lecturer and tutor at University of Minho, Portugal (2018–21).
