Robert Heynen
Robert Heynen teaches in the Department of Communication Studies at York University in Toronto, Canada. His research engages with surveillance studies, radical politics, cultural and critical theory, the politics of embodiment, visual culture, and media histories. He is the author of Degeneration and Revolution: Radical Cultural Politics and the Body in Weimar Germany (Haymarket, 2016), and has co-edited two books on surveillance with Emily van der Meulen, Expanding the Gaze: Gender and the Politics of Surveillance (University of Toronto Press, 2016) and Making Surveillance States: Transnational Histories (University of Toronto Press, 2019).
