Robert S. C. Gordon

Robert Gordon is Serena Professor of Italian at the University of Cambridge and fellow of the British Academy. He works primarily on modern Italian literature, cinema and cultural history. His work on cinema includes Pasolini: Forms of Subjectivity (Clarendon Press, 1996), the BFI Film Classics volume Bicycle Thieves (BFI, 2008), DVD and Blu-ray audio commentaries, and articles and essays on Holocaust cinema, early film and literature, ‘Hollywood on the Tiber’ and censorship.
