Roberto Cibin

Roberto Cibin is a postdoctoral researcher at the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute. He is involved in the Grassroot Wavelengths project for the participatory design of interfaces for community governance of networked radio stations, with a particular focus on commons-based forms of governance and cooperative management. Roberto holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences – Interaction, Communication, Cultural Construction from the University of Padova (Italy). He has experience in the fields of science and technology studies, and participatory design, focusing his research, in particular, on citizen engagement in decisions concerning science, technology and innovation and in digital commons. He also collaborated with an Italian public administration on a European project related to Open Data and the development of social and open innovation policies through the involvement of local stakeholders.
