Robin Bale

Robin Bale has a Ph.D. in fine art practice-led research from Middlesex University, titled ‘And I half turn to go: Invocatio and negation of the public’ (2018). As an artist, Bale combines DIY improvised music, poetry and live art performance, and his research interests include ideological formation of lyric poetry and dyspraxic temporality. Recent sound commissions include: Yet I Came After (2018) a response to BLED EDGE (EDGE 88) by Alastair MacLennan for Edge of an Era, partnered with Live Art Development Agency; and UNTIMELY (2020) for Resonance FM. He is currently writing a sequence of poems featuring imaginary encounters between invented and traditional carnivalesque figures.
