Rodanthi Tzanelli

Rodanthi Tzanelli is an associate professor of cultural sociology and director of the mobilities area in the Bauman Institute at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She serves on the RC50 (international tourism) executive board of the International Sociological Association and the main editorial board of Hospitality & Society and is critical reviews editor for Tourism, Culture & Communication. Rodanthi is a social and cultural theorist of mobility (tourism, technology, social and academic movements) with reference to the representational contexts of contemporary crises. She is the author of numerous critical interventions, research articles and chapters, as well as sixteen monographs, including the forthcoming The New Spirit of Hospitality: Designing Tourism Futures in Post-Truth Worlds (Emerald Publishing, 2023).
