Roger Soler-i-Martí holds a Ph.D. in political science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and is currently a lecturer and Maria Zambrano postdoctoral researcher at the UAB’s Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP), as well as a visiting researcher at Aston University (Birmingham, United Kingdom). He was a researcher at the Youth, Society and Communication Research Group (JOVIS.com) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at the Catalan Youth Observatory. His research focuses on the relationship between young citizens, politics and democracy, examining how environmental, economic, social, technological and cultural transformations redefine the social and political involvement of young people. He has been actively involved in international research projects related to his fields of research. In recent years, he has coordinated an international survey on youth, cultural participation and identity in nine countries as part of the EU-funded project ‘Cultural Heritage and Identities of Europe’s Future’ (CHIEF), 2018–22. His work has been published in various books and scientific journals.
