Rosamund Davies

Rosamund Davies is a senior lecturer in screenwriting and creative writing in the School of Design, University of Greenwich. She has a background in professional practice in the film and television industries, in which she worked with both independent production companies and public funding bodies. As script editor and story consultant for Film London, she oversaw the development of around 100 projects. Rosamund is a member of the International Screenwriting Research Network. Rosamund’s research focuses on writing practices within the media and publishing industries and the production and business structures in which they take place. Her research encompasses both theory and practice and her publications include ‘Screenwriting strategies in Marguerite Duras’s script for Hiroshima, Mon Amour (1960)’ (Journal of Screenwriting, 2010), Introducing the Creative Industries (with Gauti Sigthorsson, Sage, 2013), ‘Trapped – a case study of international co-production’ in The Palgrave Handbook of Screen Production (2019) and the flash fiction anthology Story Cities (Arachne Press, 2019).
