Rui M. Trindade Oliveira
Rui M. Trindade Oliveira completed his Ph.D. at the University of Northumbria (United Kingdom). His field of research is European popular genre cinema (horror, science fiction and fantasy), with strong interests in LGBTQI readings. His forthcoming article ‘Queering Lisbon in Paulo Rocha’s A raíz do coração (2000): Santo António festivities, politics, and drag queens’ will be published in the volume Indiscreet Fantasies: Iberian Queer Cinema, edited by Andrés Lema-Hincapié and Conxita Domènech for Bucknell University Press. He has participated in academic events and presented conference articles at the University of Northumbria, the University of Manchester, Birmingham City University and the American University in Rome.
