Safia Najwa Suhaimi
Safia Najwa Suhaimi is a faculty member of the Graphic Communication Design Department at the School of Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She received her Ph.D. from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, in the field of experimental aesthetics. She looked at cognitive theories of aesthetic preference and explored why humans like certain aesthetics over others. Prior to this, she pursued her Master of Arts from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, with a research project exploring the applicability of aesthetics in safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of the world. In her current research projects, Safia is keen to explore more about the models of aesthetics, particularly aesthetic experiences.
