Saki Kobayashi
Saki Kobayashi is a Ph.D. student in cinema studies at the Department of Media Studies, Stockholm University. She holds a BA in language and culture from Osaka University and an MA in cinema studies from Stockholm University. Her current project deals with Viveca Lindfors, arguably the most prominent Swedish star in 1940s Swedish cinema, with a main focus on the notion of ‘Swedishness’ and the star-making machinery.
