Samantha Niederman

Samantha Niederman is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of York, and her research will examine modernist still-lifes by Frances Hodgkins and Cedric Morris. Further research interests include American, British and European modernism, critical examination of feminist art history and European decorative arts. She received a MA in preventive conservation from University College of London, a MLitt in the history of art from the University of Glasgow and a BA in the history of art and architecture from Boston University. Before commencing her Ph.D. research, she served as curatorial assistant to the Education and American Art Departments at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida.
