Samuel Nortey
Samuel Nortey is an associate professor at the Ceramics Section, Faculty of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Nortey’s research has been on colonial education and its impact on Ghana’s art practice and education. He has been an advocate for spurring innovation in Ghanaian art teaching strategies and studio practice. Currently, much of Professor Nortey’s projects are focused on young Ghanaian artists, women and skills development in Ghanaian ceramics and pottery.
