Sara J. Brenneis
Sara J. Brenneis is professor of Spanish at Amherst College in Massachusetts. She is the co-editor (with Gina Herrmann) of Spain, the Second World War and the Holocaust: History and Representation (University of Toronto Press, 2020); and author of Spaniards in Mauthausen: Representations of a Nazi Concentration Camp, 1940–2015 (University of Toronto Press, 2018) and Genre Fusion: A New Approach to History, Fiction, and Memory in Contemporary Spain (Purdue University Press, 2014). Her research focuses on the historical memory of Spaniards deported to Nazi camps during the Second World War, in particular to Mauthausen.
