Sarah Myers

Sarah Myers is a Minneapolis-based writer and theatre artist whose work ranges from personal lyric essays, to devised performances, to solo plays that toy with the boundaries of self. Her non-fiction and academic writing have appeared in Fourth Genre, New Letters, Cleaver, TDR: The Drama Review, Studies in Musical Theatre and The Reflective Teaching Artist, among others, and her plays have been produced in New York, Chicago, Austin and Minneapolis and published by Playscripts, Inc., Spout Press and New Madrid. She has been a member of several ensemble-based theatre companies, including Workhaus Collective, Sod House Theater and Rude Mechanicals, and she spent twelve years on faculty in the Theater Department and MFA Creative Writing program at Augsburg University. She created and directed the University Programs and Partnerships initiative at the Playwrights’ Center before moving solely into freelance work. She holds a BS from Northwestern University and an MFA and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
