Sean Groten
Sean Groten is a music teacher and composer from Edmonton, Canada, and a doctoral student at the University of Alberta. His research interests include music composition, digital music technologies and arts education. Recipient of the Don Wright Scholarship for Music Education, Sean has taught music from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and has composed music for various ensembles ranging from string quartet to Concert Band, as well as electronic compositions. Sean’s thesis explores the capacity of technology in the music room to facilitate an open and safe learning environment for creativity and identity formation.
