Sean Martin-Iverson
Dr Sean Martin-Iverson is a lecturer in anthropology and sociology at the University of Western Australia. He received his Ph.D. from University of Western Australia in 2012 for a thesis on ‘The politics of cultural production in the DIY hardcore scene in Bandung, Indonesia’. Sean is currently working on a book based on this doctoral research, supported by the 2016 Australian Anthropological Society Post-Doctoral fellowship. He has ongoing research interests in global punk and DIY cultures, transnational social movements, the politics of creative labour, and urban life in Indonesia.
