Sérgio Campos Matos
Sérgio Campos Matos is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Lisbon. His main areas of research are historical cultures and national memories, historiographies, nationalisms, relationships between Portugal and Spain, and Iberism within wider contexts, from cultural, social and political history perspectives. He has authored or co-authored papers in these areas for international reviews. He is author of Consciência histórica e nacionalismo. Portugal (séculos XIX e XX) (Lisbon: 2008) and Iberismos – nação e transnação, Portugal e Espanha (c.1807–c.1931) (Coimbra: 2017). Recently he has been editing the Dicionário de Historiadores Portugueses (1779–1974) for the Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal. He belongs to the Centro de História of the University of Lisbon.
