Sergio Rivera Rodríguez

Sergio Rivera Rodríguez completed his master’s in public health at the University of Puerto Rico with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the City University of New York’s School of Public Health where he also works as a research assistant. He is experienced in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. Currently, he is working on a project that uses a nationally representative survey to observe differences in access, utilization and cost of health care services by health insurance status among people living in poverty. In addition, he also works on a qualitative project that documents the experiences of incarcerated individuals inside the jails of New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.
