Shannon Brownlee
Shannon Brownlee is an assistant professor of Film Studies in the Theatre Department of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where she is also cross-appointed to the Gender and Women’s Studies programme. She received her doctorate in 2008 in the History of Consciousness programme at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is currently working on a book manuscript entitled A Passion for Adaptation: Experimental Film, Psychoanalysis, Gender as well as new research in animated film.
